Researcher at INAF- Astronomical Observatory of Rome, Monte Porzio Catone, via Frascati 33, I-00078, Italy.
I am interested in stellar populations from our galaxy to the outskirts of the Universe that can be resolved into stars (100 Mpc).
My research fields are galaxy evolution and distance scale. I also use stars as test particles to better understand innovative instrumentation: the active optic system of LSSTcam@Rubin telescope and adaptive optics systems in current (GeMS@Gemini, SOUL@LBT, ERIS@VLT) and future (MAVIS@VLT, MICADO@ELT) generation of telescopes.

My research interests cover high energy Astrophysics, in particular the study of millisecond pulsars. I am also involved in outreach activities.

Researcher at INAF- Astronomical Observatory of Rome, Monte Porzio Catone, via Frascati 33, I-00078, Italy.
I am staff researcher at the Istituto Nazionale di Astrofisica (INAF) in Rome. My favourite research topics are stellar populations and pulsating stars to investigate galaxy formation and evolution.
I am currently deeply involved in understanding the impact of new/future optical and near-infrared instrumentation on these crucial fields (e.g., LSST, ERIS@VLT).
